TERRITORIAL PARKS

Coal River Springs Territorial Park
With protection of the reserve as the primary purpose of the park, access continues to be restricted by the difficulties of wilderness travel in an isolated region.
Fishing Branch Ni'iinlii Njik Park
The park protects a far northern wilderness with unique features created by limestone caves, year-round open water, salmon runs, and grizzly bears at concentrations rarely seen at the arctic circle.
Herschel Island Qikiqtaruk Territorial Park
Situated between land and sea, its dry polar climate is home to a unique combination of arctic plants, animals and sea life, including the largest colony of Black Guillemots in the Western Arctic.Inuvialuit have used the site for thousands of years and many of their old dwellings are still visible on the island.
Tombstone Territorial Park
The Dempster Highway bisects the Park and provides visitors with an opportunity to view stunning arctic tundra landscapes and wildlife, as well as access to some of the best hiking areas in the Yukon.

55-kilometre wilderness route is a world-renowned hiking trail.
Ivvavik National Park

The park protects a portion of the calving grounds of the Porcupine caribou herd and represents the Northern Yukon and Mackenzie Delta natural regions.
Kluane National Park

A land of precipitous, high mountains, immense icefields and lush valleys that yield a diverse array of plant and wildlife species and provides for a host of outdoor activities. Kluane National Park and Reserve is also home to Mount Logan (5959 m/19,545 ft), Canada's highest peak.
Vuntut National Park

The park is bounded by the height of land and Ivvavik National Park of the north, the international boundary and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to the west, Black Fox Creek to its confluence with the Old Crow River to the east and the Old Crow River to the south.

    HERITAGE RIVERS

    Alsek River
    Alsek's remoteness, beauty, and wild rapids tug at the heartstrings of adventurous river travellers.

    Bonnet Plume River
    the Bonnet Plume basin features plentiful examples of slip faults, rock glaciers, aretes, cirques and moraines, which reflect a geological history extending back to the Late Pre-Cambrian period.

    Thirty Mile River (Yukon River)
    Travellers of the Thirty Mile can view and photograph wildlife along its wooded riverbanks. They can also step back into the past at the abandoned gold rush era settlements of Lower Laberge and Hootalinqua.

    Tatshenshini River
    One of the top river trips in the world for rafters and kayakers. Grizzly bears, Dall's sheep, woodland caribou and moose, peregrine falcons, bald eagles, golden eagles, goshawks are wildlife to be found along this river.
