Le Saint-Laurent est l'un des grands fleuves de la planète. Il se distingue par sa taille, mais aussi par ses écosystèmes riches , sa faune variée et ses innombrables îles au charme particulier. Son estuaire est l'un des plus abondants du monde. Différentes espèces de mammifères marins, d'oiseaux et de poissons en font leur zone de repos, de refuge, de nidification, de reproduction ou d'alimentation, particulièrement lors des migrations saisonnières.
Longueur : Depuis sa source, dans les Grands Lacs, jusqu'à son embouchure, au détroit de Cabot, le Saint-Laurent s'étend sur 3 200 km .
The St. Lawrence is one of the longest rivers on the planet. It is distinguished not only by its size, but by its rich ecosystems , diverse wildlife and countless unique islands. Its estuary is one of the richest in the world. Various species of marine mammals, birds and fish live, stop over, nest, reproduce or feed here, particularly during the seasonal migrations.
Length: From its source, in the Great Lakes, to its mouth, at the Cabot Strait, the St. Lawrence stretches over 3,200 km (1,988 mi.).
