Notre Dame Provincial Park The park is dominated by black spruce and balsam fir, with tamarack and white Birch throughout. Peatland, shrub and heathlands interrupt the forest floor, and a variety of wildflowers from the shade-loving bunchberry to the barren-growing crowberry may be found. |
| Pinware River Provincial Park, Labrador The bedrock in the area around Pinware River Provincial Park is composed of a variety of very old and somewhat deformed granites. A sample of granite obtained from a small, roadside quarry near the entrance to the park has been dated at 1,466 million years old. |
Pistolet Bay Provincial Park Pistolet Bay Provincial Park is part of the lowlands of the Long Range Mountains and contains stratified rocks that were deposited during the Cambrian and Ordovician periods (approximately 500 million years ago). |
