| At the Irving Eco-Centre we go a long way to protect the ecology
of our dunes. Constant wind action, tides and ocean currents create sand dunes. The dunes shelter many species of marine and aquatic animals and plant life. Literally hundreds of shorebirds call them home. |

| Although New Brunswick has 64 remaining covered bridges crossing many of New Brunswick’s world-famous rivers, Kings County is considered the covered bridge capital of Atlantic Canada. The bridges that stand today are enduring examples of the pride in craftsmanship, heritage, engineering, and design expertise of our forefathers. The oldest covered bridge standing today was built in 1870. The world’s longest, having celebrated its 100th birthday, is found in Hartland. | |
