Listen to the experts in the U.K. Banff is ranked among the top five ski resorts on the planet by The Independent, a UK-based newspaper, which published its findings in November. The Independent called Banff an "unspoilt ski area in the beautiful Banff National Park, where elk can be seen wandering the streets and the occasional moose moseys on down town." This unusual level of wilderness, coupled with luxury "provided in no small measure by high-quality hotels" with "spa treatments, steaming outdoor pools and hot tubs, and relaxing chill-out lounges"
