DOWNHILL SKIING & SNOWBOARDING

Jasper

Marmot Basin
1-866-952-3816, Marmot Basin Road, Jasper Webcam
Kick back and ski easy at Marmot Basin where there are virtually no lift lines between you and the 86 marked trails. We like: The Rogers Terrain Park for strutting our stuff.
Kananaskis
Nakiska
1-800-258-7669 Highway 40 Kananaskis Webcam
Nakiska's awesomely steep runs, new rail park - NaJIBska - and the Monster Glades keep us busy all day. Watch for cool themed packages in the 2010-2011 season: Mommy & Me, Women's Day, Men's Day and the 1st Anniversary celebrations of the Gold Chair Express and Monster Trails. We like: That Hollywood brought Leo DiCaprio and his blockbuster Inception crew to Nakiska for snow training.
Southern Alberta
Castle Mountain
1-888-754-8667 Pincher Creek Webcam
The southern Rockies hold the best-kept secret.Castle Mountain is bang-on the best for Cat Skiing and group events. We like: Staying snug as a bug on-hill at the Castle Chalet with its private deck, BBQ and hot tub.

Banff and Lake Louise

Ski Lake Louise
1-877-956-8473, 1 Whitehorn Road, Lake Louise Webcam
Lake Louise Mountain Resort. With 4,000 acres of skiable terrain and four mountain faces to conquer, Lake Louise challenges skiers and riders to bring it on. We like: Checking out the Skier/Boardercross circuit action on the hill, and the new twinned highway from Banff which makes getting to "The Lake" even easier.
Mount Norquay
1-403-762-4421, Mt. Norquay Rd., Banff Webcam
This locals' favourite celebrates 85 years of family friendly winter action this year. Just minutes from Banff, Norquay is perfect to get in a few hours with a great ski school and day care on hand, and the only night skiing in Banff-Lake Louise. We like: Training in the tracks of Olympic and World Cup athletes, and tubing with the kids.
Sunshine Village
1-877-542-2633, Highway #1 Access Rd., Banff Webcam
Expansive terrain, oodles of natural snow and the ninth super-lift, the Strawberry Express Quad from the 2010 Olympic Games, make Sunshine Village an all-around favourite. We like: Sunshine Mountain Lodge for Banff's only ski in/ski out hotel, and the freshly reno'ed Creekside Restaurant.
